Wednesday, November 9, 5-9 pm

University Center Ballroom, 5-8 p.m. – The 44th Annual W.E.B. Du Bois Distinguished Lecture with special keynote addresses by UMBC alumna and former professors Dr. Christel Temple, ‘94, and Mr. Donald G. Murray, Jr. They will speak on the respective topics of "Cultural Memory and Mythology: Africana Agency in the Face of Exile" and "Africana Studies: Creating a Program Space and Place at UMBC and the Greater Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Communities"

 

Thursday, November 10, 4-7 pm
Roundtable Discussions by AFST Alumni, current students, and former faculty members—In-person Discussion, 7th Floor Albin O. Kuhn Library – reservations are required.
